SHED Children’s Campus has participated in the Adopt-A-Family drive for over 12 years. This idea for this drive started with Joel Greer, one of our OK Room teachers.
Joel presented this idea when he started at Kid’s Club. Joel had been participating in Adopt-A-Family drives on his own & during his time with the YMCA. He thought it would be a great thing to bring to our children & our families. We are so glad Joel brought this here to SHED Children’s Campus.
Our Adopt-A-Family drive helps to support 10 -15 families each holiday season. Adopt-A-Family is a fantastic way to bring children into the magic of giving. The children then become our biggest supporters of this drive. They are so motivated to make a difference in people’s lives. It is amazing to watch them grow & see them experience the joy of giving to others.
We are so appreciative of that giving spirit in the children & in all of the families that support this drive. We have experienced amazing gratitude from the families we support.
