I sit here at our Greeter’s desk – happily awaiting the Farmers to You customers.
It is a neat little experience actually – sitting here amongst fresh, wholesome food – admiring the red tomatoes – smelling the delicious bread – making people happy with beautiful food. Then I can look out at our garden beds & imagine the growth we will see in the next couple months as the children begin to work in the gardens.
Farmers to You, its service & its products, shows the great connection between caring for the soil, the earth and the food we put into our bodies.
This service, together with our garden learning, makes for great life lessons for the children.
Planning a garden, planting the seeds, tending the plants, harvesting & finally cooking & eating what they have produced – connecting the gardens to our food – we are so happy to give this learning & experience to our children.
